The Motivation Section is a short, 20 question questionnaire that aims to assess the Subject's likely motivation and hence commitment to a healthier lifestyle or exercise regime. The questions are designed to be answered on screen by the Subject and should only take a few minutes. figure 1 below shows the Motivation 'Home Page' in the Lifestyle section. If follows the same format as the Quick Nutrition and other areas.

The questionnaire can be launched by using the 'click here' link. It launches in a modal window.
To answer the question, just place the cursor in the button that incidates whether the statement is true or untrue and to what extent. As each question is answered, a green tick will appear beside the question to indicate that a response has been recorded. Use the Next button to move to the next question. A typical question is displayed in figure 2.

You can also return to a previous question using the < prev button. All questions must be answered. Once all of the questions have been answered, click on the Score Motivation Scale Button. This will save the responses to the questions and produce a report. The report will provide a motivation score out of 100%.
The higher the score the more likely the Subject is to adhere to an excercise or new health regime. Subjects with low motivation will require more help and support to achieve their goals and to retain their interest. A lower motivation score will be represented by an orange or red graph on the report depending on how low the score is.

Previous reports are recorded and can be accessed by clicking on the date beside the pdf icon on the right hand side of the screen. Previous reports will be displayed in date order.
