Some Common Problems
1. Cannot Login to Fitech.....
There are 3 things you need in order to be able to login to Fitech.
1. The address (URL) of your application, in most cases this will be either https://www.fitechv5.com/ for customers in Europe or North America and http://portal.fitech.com.au/ for customers in Australasia. If you have an in-house install of Fitech, then your local administrator will provide you with the URL.
2. Your username. (this is not necessarily your email address)
3. Your password.
Assuming you know the URL and after you have input your username and password, you still cannot login. You can use the forgot password tool to send back your login credentials. This will only work if your administrator or you recorded your email address. Please see figure 1 & 2.
The forgot password tool will tell you if the email address you have used to send the credentials back to does not exist in Fitech. If this is the case, try other email addresses you may have used. If you still get no joy, you should email support@fitech.co.uk stating you cannot login, your organisation and name and whether you use the portal in Europe or Australia.
If it is an emergency, you can call Fitech direct, see contact details on either http://www.fitech.co.uk/ or http://www.fitech.com.au/
Lastly, if forgot password tool successfully sends an email. PLEASE ensure that you check your spam folder or any email filters that you have.

2. Creating An Operator
As you may know, Fitech has several security levels. The Operator Level is the level that the Health Professional generally assumes. The Health Professional is the person who often carries out the assessments on the subjects. The level above the Operator is the Administrator, the level below is the Subject.
Creating an Operator can only be carried out by Your Administrator. It is a very simple process for the Administrator, all they have to do is login and use the 'Add Subject Link' (Figure 3) - They should NOT use the Quick Add Link. The Form that appears can be used to create anyone on the system at any security level (provided you have the authority to do so). To set the individual you are creating to be an operator, set the drop down list called 'Security Level' to 'Operator'. That will ensure the individual you have created is an operator. It's that simple.

For more information on creating 'users of the system' please see this link.
3. Creating Fitness Layouts
Fitness Layouts (or Physicals) can be thought of as falling into 2 areas.
- Creating the Layout or Assessment
- Applying the Layout or Assessment to the subject.
a. You can only create an assessment if you are an administrator and this is done from the administration menu. Full instructions on how to create the Layout are available here. A VIDEO demonstration is available here.
b. In order to take a physical or assessment, simply load a subject and then select Fitness Assessments from the Physical Menu. Then Click the 'Click Here to add a Fitness Assessment for SUBJECT NAME' where SUBJECT Name is the name of the subject you have loaded. Full instructions are available here, and a video describing the process is available here.
