Introduction

  1. Fitech allows the operator to store files for general use. These files are not related to anything other than the organisation that are uploading them. The file 'repository' can be used for storing and making available to Operators and consultants a variety of files. These could be:

  • Document Templates
  • Health Related Whitepapers
  • Company Forms.

  1. The operator is allowed to upload most 'standard' document types, for example, pdf, doc, docx, xls, zip, txt, rft. Executables such as exe, bat , CMD or script files cannot be uploaded for security reasons.
  2. Application (Company) File Management is found after logging in and selecting the first main menu option and then 'General Application Files' from the drop down menu.
  3. The interface is shown below in figure 1.

figure 1 - General Application Files.

  1. The files are listed with most recent first.
  2. The update icon launches an interface where the file properties or file itself can be updated. Additonally, the file can be removed.
  3. The icon to the left of the File Friendly name reflects the file type in most cases. If the application cannot determine the file type, a plain file icon is used.
  4. Currently, the files are not categorised. If there is a requirement for this, then it willl be coded. The system is really a very basic file management system.
  5. Figure 2 shows the file upload interface.
  6. The interface allows:

  • Input of a Friendly Filename - this is shown to the operator rather than the physical filename itself.
  • The file upload field ( a linit of 2.5MB is set)
  • A Notes field (not compulsory)
